Today is Thursday the 5th and I am still in Monda. I'm currently at Jose's mum's house having just been down to the central square to watch a live theatre. I think the whole town was there, all one hundred of them. It is quite hard to imagine living a whole lifetime in such a close and closed community. Part of me loves the idea and another part feels like it could be claustrophobic. Above all I love the fact everyone knows eachother and everyone says hi to eachother on the little cobblestone streets, lined with white Andalusian homes and beautiful tiles. Today I went for a walk with the dog for an hour and then lay in the hammock listening to Magical Mind, Magical Body on my Mp3. Then I made a pasta sauce for lunch and Jose picked me up to go to his mum's. We ate and then Jose dropped me half way home and went to work and I lay on the hammock, slept and packed as tomorrow I am going to Sevilla, Cordoba and Granada 'da sola'. I cooked crunchy spuds with rosemary from the garden - heaps of it, and cut pork steaks to take back to his mum's. Jose is staying with his mum this week. He and his brothers take turns as she is unwell and in a wheelchair. It is 12.15am (on Friday) and he is about to take me back to his house to sleep as at 8am I will catch the bus to Sevilla.
Yesterday I think I had another lazy day. I took my computer to get fixed and walked around Monday with my guide. My photos are now working so I promise to upload as soon as the internet doesn't work at the pace of a snail... Much love xxx
Ps. Loving the slow, peaceful, warm and beautiful life here xxx
